What we do

We provide legal services and advice to the Scottish Government and its agencies.

We are responsible for:

litigation and tribunal work
commercial law and procurement advice
instructing bills and drafting subordinate legislation
legislative competence and devolution matters, including the European Convention of Human Rights and EU Law
recruiting new lawyers for Government Legal Service for Scotland (GLSS)

We will accept service of documents by email or post.
