Human Trafficking - Identifying and Supporting Victims Action Area Group

Overview

The group's role is to support the delivery of the actions in their remit. These include:

raising public awareness of human trafficking
improving information sharing among organisations that work to keep victims safe
consulting with victims to find out about the barriers they face and what would help them

The group's main activities involve:

clarifying the actions
prioritising the actions
identifying the networks that need to be involved implementing the actions and working with them
identifying training needed and referring this to Strategy Implementation Group
working with the other Action Area Groups. (These are addressing the causes of trafficking and exploitation and identifying perpetrators and disrupting their activity.)
