Energy Efficient Scotland consultation: Making our homes and buildings warmer, greener and more efficient

This consultation runs in conjunction with the Energy Efficient Scotland route map and asks for views on proposals on standard setting for domestic and non-domestic properties, access to EPC data, and on legislation.

6. RdSAP is used for pre-existing buildings, while SAP is used for new builds. There is a necessity for this split in how buildings are assessed as existing buildings cannot feasibly meet some of the energy efficiency criteria which are now in effect for new builds.

8. Mobile homes, often known as Park Homes, are self-contained prefabricated buildings, transported to a licensed park home site where they are assembled. Once in place they are very rarely moved, but to comply with the law they must remain capable of being removed.
