Information requested

'Did the recent conviction of MSP Humza Yousaf, Minister for Transport, result in any form of fact find investigation or discipline by the Scottish Government or professional standards department.'

Response

Mr Yousaf reported the incident to the First Minister and the Permanent Secretary when it happened. The incident was not considered relevant under the Ministerial Code. Mr Yousaf notified the Scottish Government about the penalty that was subsequently imposed and which Mr Yousaf did not contest and the matter is now considered closed.
