Disposals for those convicted of a crime/offence with a domestic abuse aggravator.

We have presented two sets of statistics as we have recently changed the way we present our statistics on aggravators in the last year. If you have seen previously published statistics it might be useful to understand the differences.

The first table shows the number of people convicted with a domestic aggravator recorded, based on the main charge in a proceeding. These are our headline statistics on domestic abuse. Prior to this we used "offences" level information as presented in the second table. This counts all offences with a domestic aggravator recorded, including secondary offences within a proceeding, and are therefore higher than the "people convicted" table.
