outturn information and background information which can help ascertain the value of the information given, in relation to the information published in the contribution to economic development column of the Infrastructure Investment Plan 2015 - Major Capital Projects Progress Update (March 2017); and
similar information to that which I am asking for re large projects, but for smaller projects, particularly those involving hubs.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. This is because the projects are either still in construction or have only recently become operational and the final project evaluation has not yet taken place. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
As indicated in my email of 21 June the outturn information may not be available where projects are still in construction and I can confirm that we do not hold the final outturn information for the projects in the Infrastructure Investment Plan 2015 - Major Capital Projects Progress Update (March 2017) at this time. However, in the attached table I have provided the most up to date information available which I hope is helpful to you.
Please also note that all of the Transport projects which were included within this report are either still in construction or have not yet started construction and post project evaluations will be conducted on them to review outturns and outcomes against business case objectives. The evaluations take place one, three and five years after the project is operational and on larger projects the project board responsible may ask for additional evaluations to take place. Once available, the information will be published on the Transport Scotland website. Further information can be found by way of the following web link: https://www.transport.gov.scot/publication/stag-technical-database/section-16
The Scottish Transport Analysis Guide (Scot-TAG) is intended to provide transport practitioners working on Scottish based transport projects, or any other interested party with access to the latest information and guidance that they will need when developing and assessing transport schemes and strategies. Scot-TAG serves as the gateway to the Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG) and the Programme for the Economic Assessment of Road Schemes (PEARS). Further information can be found by way of the following web link: https://www.transport.gov.scot/our-approach/industry-guidance/scottish-transport-analysis-guide-scot-tag
I attach a table which includes the methodology used for the provision of information as background information for each of the projects including hub projects.
The Scottish Government is committed to publishing all information released in response to Freedom of Information requests. View all FOI responses at http://www.gov.scot/foi-responses
