Information requested

Information relating to the number of sick days taken by teachers this year and reasons why. I note you are particularly interested in depression, anxiety and stress related categories.

  • A five year breakdown for 2012-2016.

  • A breakdown by primary and secondary schools.

Response

While our aim is to provide information wherever possible, in this instance Education Scotland does not hold or collate the information you requested, relating to the number of sick days taken by teachers.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that Education Scotland does not have the information you requested.

The level of detailed information you are asking for is only held at local authority level.

To assist with your request, you may find it helpful to contact each local authority who may be able to provide you with the details you require. The following website will take you to a list of all 32 Scottish local authorities which may be of use.
