The costs associated with the Lord Advocate's visit to Brussels on 29 May 2017, including a breakdown of the costs for travel, the class of travel, costs of hotel and costs of food and drink. You also asked for receipts associated with the trip.

Response

The total cost of the Lord Advocate's visit to Brussels on 29 May 2017 was £1203.88. This includes the costs incurred for a member of the Lord Advocate's Private Office who travelled with him.

The costs are broken down as follows:

2x Economy class return flights from Edinburgh to Brussels

£459.94 each = £919.88

2x Standard double hotel rooms B&B rate €165 each = €330 (£284 at time of booking) Receipts are attached confirming these figures.

The Lord Advocate and supporting staff member paid for their own food and drink.
