You asked:

Whether, and if so, how much public money has been spent by officials of the Scottish Government in visiting Catalonia in the past 12 months.

Response

The Scottish Government does not record travel expenditure in categories such as "Catalonia".

Based on information held centrally, expenses pertaining to Scottish Government travel costs to Barcelona between the 1st of November 2016 and the 30th of October 2017 amount to £7917.60.

The above figure includes accommodation and travel expenses as well as subsistence claims.

These trips allowed Scottish Government officials to attend a range of work-related conferences, such as the E-invoicing conference, the ICES Working Group on Marine Planning and Coastal Zone Management and the Gartner Symposium for IT leaders.
