Information requested

By the appropriate measurement (percentage or similar form) how much the pollution in the three 'pollution zones' declared in the Lothian exceeds what is recommended by the World Health Organisation.

Response

There are currently 10 Air Quality Management Areas in the Lothians and it would helpful to know to which three you are referring. It would also be helpful to know to which pollutants you are referring.

Air quality monitoring data and other information can be found on the Scottish Air Quality website Air Pollution Levels In addition, all local authorities are required to provide an annual report on air quality in their areas which will contain the information you have requested. Most of these report are available on the Scottish Air Quality website at Annual Reports although in some cases the most recent 2017 reports have not yet been uploaded. Any reports required that are not yet on the website can be provided on request.
