UN climate change conference in Bonn, attendance list: FOI release

Information requested

  • The number of people attending from the Scottish Government and agencies, including politicians, civil servants, assistants, security staff, drivers, etc.; and

  • The estimated cost of this exercise including travel, meals, hotels, car hire, security, conference fees, and all relevant costs.

Response

In response to your request, the First Minister and the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform attended the conference at different times for a wide range of separate engagements and a total of 10 staff supported both Ministerial programmes. The First Minister attended at the invitation of the UN and both Scottish Government Ministers and Scottish Government staff were part of the official UK delegation.

In relation to costs, the information was not held by the Scottish Government at the time of your request. The Scottish Government proactively publishes information on Ministerial engagements and travel on its website.

Information on Ministers' attendance at the conference will be published here once it has been collated and finalised.
