Information requested

An accident occurred at Dalrymple Road in Girvan just outside the Co-operative store. With reference to Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 please provide actual copies of any inspections, complaints and repair documentation held in relation to the accident location from 19 May 2015 to present.

Response

In relation to inspections records, please refer to Annex A of this request which is the Inspection Defect Report for the area requested.

I can confirm that there were two complaints in relation to Dalrymple Street in the time frame requested. One complaint was passed to South Ayrshire Council in respect to a parking complaint as they are the enforcement agency. The remaining complaint is detailed in Annex B of this request. An exception under regulation 11(2) of the EIRs (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998. This exception is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exception.

Dalrymple Street was resurfaced in September 2016. Paperwork for this is attached at Annex C.
