Cultural spending from the Scottish Government to Scotland's cities".
In order to better address your query, you will recall that we had an email exchange over 16th and 17th January in which you clarified the request and I confirmed that, following that clarification, I would be able to respond to your request with the information sought. Your clarification included the fact that you were interested in Scottish Government spend rather than local authority, that you were interested in spend on public and other bodies that were located in the cities as well as grants for local authority projects such as V&A Dundee, and that you were content that I provide the information for the financial years 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18, rather than the calendar years 2015, 2016 and 2017 as per your original request.

Please note the information you have requested is available publicly. However I have set out the information we hold in Annex A. The format in which I provided this is a table with the published Draft Budget figures for Culture with explanatory notes thereafter which explains where there is direct spend in Scotland's cities in the 3 financial years in question.
As I explained in previous correspondence, the vast proportion of Scottish Government spend on culture is funding allocated to public bodies (Creative Scotland, five National Performing Companies, three National Collections). As a result, you may want to contact these organisations and those listed in the Annex directly to request information in order to gain a more accurate account of public spending on culture in Scotland's cities.
