Information requested

"Any correspondence within the last six months (emails, typed or handwritten notes, letters, phone calls, minutes of meetings, briefs or otherwise) on the topic of changes to the Ministerial Code in 2018. Information should include any direction from Scottish Government ministers and special advisers; and correspondence involving the Scottish Government officials/civil servants responsible for making changes to the Ministerial Code."

Response

1. I enclose a copy of the information you requested.

2. While we have provided all of the information you requested, an exemption under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to a small amount of that information. In effect, this means that we have redacted the names and contact details of civil servants below the grade of Senior Civil Servant from the information we have provided you with, and the name of a Union Representative. We have also redacted the contact details, though not the names, of Senior Civil Servants from this information.
