Acknowledgements

This study was commissioned and funded by the Scottish Government and Macmillan Cancer Support. A Steering Group (see Appendix A for members) guided the design of the survey tool.

We would like to thank Andrew Paterson, Scottish Government and Kelly Shiell-Davis and Hanna Hine, Macmillan Cancer Support, for their help and support in producing this report, and Patricia Aitchison, Research Fellow, NMAHP RU, University of Stirling, for her work in double coding.

Finally we would like to thank all the patients who took part in the first Scottish Cancer Patient Experience Survey and who took time to provide the free-text comments analysed in this report. We hope that we have done your experiences justice.
