I am seeking information about the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF) programmes.

This is with regards to the funding cycles of 2007-13 and 2014-20.

The questions are for each funding cycle and am seeking answers relating to each funding cycle separately.

The SG Managing Authority manages these funds on behalf of the EC and the amount of decommitment for this programme against projects was circa £80m expenditure.

How do you define decommitment in these cases.

Projects are decommitted for various reasons mainly non-compliance

Projects maybe decommitted for various reasons including non- compliance and *insufficient outputs.

What happens to the projects if there is a decommitment?

Financing projects is the responsibility of the sponsors and the MA cannot confirm what alternative funding was arranged if the regulations for payment were not met.
