*[c] indicates a figure suppressed to protect confidential information. This has been applied where a figure relates to a small number of staff or where additional suppression has been required to prevent calculation of a figure suppressed for that reason.

This information relates to the Scottish Government Main bargaining unit (SGM). You can find out which bodies are included in SGM in Annex A.

3&4) The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because we do not hold information relating to bodies that are not within SGM. This reflects that the Scottish Government do not set or apply the pay and terms and conditions of employment (including any pay supplement arrangements) for bodies that are not part of SGM (see Annex A). This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.

However, you may wish to contact each NDPB directly, who may be able to help you. You can find their contact details here - Introduction - National public bodies: directory - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).

5) Please see attached document titled Pay Supplement Guidance.

6) Pay supplements within SGM are linked to the relevant profession and are only paid where there is a fully evidenced business case that supports payment of a pay supplement. For example, whilst there are A3-B1 graded roles within the SG Communications Directorate, they do not attract a pay supplement. There have been no formal complaints about these arrangements.
