1. Assess your data centre's suitability
Using the guidance above understand what would be expected of a colocation facility and standards of efficiency that should be attained.
2. Understand your responsibilities
You will need to sign a memorandum of agreement with a tenant organisation, an organisation considering being a host should be aware of what they are agreeing to supply and the service levels they are promising.
3. Contact Scottish Government for inclusion in the colocation catalogue
If your organisation is willing to take on other organisations into your data centre, advise Scottish Government at DPS@scotland.gsi.gov.uk of your interest and we will discuss the details that can go into a central catalogue.
